Together with Uwe von Seltmann we were invited to Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters.
Currents of Change — the theme of the sixth edition of Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters – is a representation of the ever-evolving narratives around us. Societies must be able to adapt to and navigate currents of change. There are opportunities and challenges, which could either disrupt or transform traditional institutions and social structures. Currents of change come with the ability to shape and transform societies, economies, and cultures over time.
During two meetings with the audience, we talked about our multi-year projects on the impact of the past on the current situation and how art can be used as a tool that heals and inspires reflection.

I extend my gratitude to the organizers of the festival and to the curator, writer Sabin Iqbal who found our activity worth sharing with an Indian audience and so warmly opened us up to explore a new world. This was my first trip to India which will remain in my heart forever.

“Their message resonated deeply with the audience, serving as a reminder that, even while the scars of history are remaining, the power of love, art, art, and self-reflection can help us beat hate and build a more inclusive world.”
